What really interests me is what popular music is not what is popular at any given time, but still popular in the long term. I think that's what separates truly great music of others. Great music is still relevant long past when you first registered.

It is with this mindset that I approach this article in seven bands of the 1960s, whose life of music. Using the statistics, listening to online radio websites as a guide These are the bands of that time period that continue to attract new listeners.

I am sure that most people listening to these bands at stations online radio are not the original fans of these bands, because most people in their 50s and 60s (or older) and are not characteristics demographic of people who use them. That's good because I do not know what people are hearing for reasons of nostalgia, I know what the music of the 60s, is still relevant enough to attract new listeners 40 years later.

# 1 The Beatles: This is the most obvious, of course. It's been 45 years since it was "invaded" with the song "I Want To Hold Your Hand" and remain as relevant today, if not more.

# 2 Pink Floyd: If it is true that Pink Floyd is best known for his work in 70 as the Dark Side of the Moon, released their debut album in 1967 and I find their early stuff Syd Barrett was absolutely fascinating.

# 3 Led Zeppelin: Another band that was huge in the 70s too, but again that got their start in late 60. Led Zeppelin monster sound remains vital.

# 4 The Rolling Stones: After all these years of the Stones are still ongoing. In some aspects that may have hurt its image with young people, whose perception first is the old guys still at the stage today. But there is no doubt that his original albums of the late '60s and early '70s are still relevant.

# 5 The Doors: The Doors mystique and unique sound continues to attract new listeners even though it has been almost 40 years since Jim Morrison died. While it is becoming hip among some circles to dismiss the Doors, I think it is only fashion. That will remain a popular band of the 60s for some time.

# 6 The Who: the best live band of the '60s, their studio albums, probably not as good as the other bands on the list, but Live at Leeds definitely kicks ass.

# 7 The Beach Boys: Pet Sounds is probably heard today more than it was when it was first released in 1966 (figure not particularly well then.) Head Beach Boy Brian Wilson is probably more revered today he returned to mid-60s when he was writing his greatest hits.
